In July, our son, Ken, left the nest (umm....rookery?) to go on to the next phase of his life. He has joined the Army
to further his career as a medic (he is already an EMT). This was a tough decision for him - not made any easier
by his parents gentle goading into a life at sea with the Navy. However, he finally made a decision that was
correct for him and we love him, are damn proud of him and miss him...except on those occasions when we find
one of his dirty sweat socks tucked behind a cushion....
The pictures below and on the following pages are from Ken's going away party. I realize how annoying it is to
have no names, but we are respecting the privacy of our guests...
